Video

Short clips from a prompt or a still.

Video is the mode of ewpire that turns a prompt, or one of your images, into a short clip. Pick a video model or leave it on Auto, choose a length the model offers, and see the estimated cost before it runs. A clip renders as a job, so you can leave the page and come back.

What you can do in Video

  • Text to video

Describe the shot: the subject, the motion and the camera.

  • Image to video

Start the clip from one of your images, or choose Animate on a picture you made in Image.

  • Length and format

Choose the duration, the aspect ratio and the resolution the model offers.

  • Runs as a job

The status updates while the clip renders. You can leave the page and come back.

  • Variations and frames

Regenerate a clip or make a variation of it, and take a frame of a video into Image.

  • Saved and marked

Every clip is saved to your files, marked as AI-generated and can go into a project.

How Video works

  1. 01

    Describe the shot

Write the prompt, or switch to Image to video and attach the frame the clip should start from.

  2. 02

Pick a model and a length

Choose a video model or leave it on Auto, then the duration, the aspect ratio and the resolution. The estimated cost shows before the run.

  3. 03

    Let it render

The clip renders as a job. Once the model's provider has accepted it, it runs to the end, and the result is saved to your files.

Models in Video

2 models from 2 labs in the catalog right now. Each name opens the model's page, with what it does and its price in credits.

On Auto, ewpire picks a video model for the request and moves on to the next one if that model is unavailable; a model you pick yourself is never replaced.

What Video costs

A clip is charged per second of video at the model's price, plus a fee per request where the model has one. A clip the model fails to make costs nothing.
  • Gemini Omni Flash: a 4-second clip costs 0.315 credits and a 10-second clip 0.63: 0.0525 per second plus 0.105 per request.
  • Seedance 2 Mini: a 5-second clip costs 0.205 credits and a 10-second clip 0.41, at 0.041 per second.

Counted from the prices in the model catalog, where one credit is $1. The exact charge of each request appears in Usage.

Limits in Video

ewpire has no plans and no monthly quotas, so these limits are the same for everyone.
  • One run makes one clip, from a prompt and one optional start image.
  • Each model offers its own clip lengths, listed under Duration in Video's settings, so there is no single maximum.
  • A job waiting in the queue can be cancelled. Once the model's provider has accepted it, it can't be cancelled or deleted until it finishes.
  • A workspace can have 50 image, video, music and Consensus jobs queued or running at once.

By model

  • Gemini Omni Flash: clips of 4, 6, 8 or 10 seconds. Resolutions: 720p, 360p and 1080p. Aspect ratios: 16:9 and 9:16.
  • Seedance 2 Mini: clips of 5 or 10 seconds. Resolutions: 720p. Aspect ratios: 16:9, 9:16 and 1:1.

What Video does not do

  • It does not edit, trim or join existing video.
  • It does not make more than one clip in a run, or take more than one start image.
  • It refuses a prompt for a deepfake or face swap of a real person, or for intimate imagery of a real person, before any credit is reserved.

Video questions

Which video models does ewpire have?
2 video models right now: Gemini Omni Flash and Seedance 2 Mini. Each has a page with what it does and its price in credits.
How long can a clip be?
Each model offers its own clip lengths, listed under Duration in Video's settings, so there is no single maximum. Gemini Omni Flash: clips of 4, 6, 8 or 10 seconds. Seedance 2 Mini: clips of 5 or 10 seconds.
What does a video cost?
The model's price per second of video, plus a fee per request where the model has one, in credits. The estimate shows before the run, and a clip the model fails to make costs nothing. Gemini Omni Flash: a 4-second clip costs 0.315 credits and a 10-second clip 0.63: 0.0525 per second plus 0.105 per request. Seedance 2 Mini: a 5-second clip costs 0.205 credits and a 10-second clip 0.41, at 0.041 per second.
Can I start a video from an image?
Yes. Switch to Image to video and attach the frame the clip should start from, or choose Animate on a picture you made in Image. A run takes one start image.
Can I cancel a video after starting it?
Until the model's provider has accepted it. A job still waiting in the queue can be cancelled, and its reserved credits return to your balance. Once the provider has accepted the job, it can't be cancelled or deleted until it finishes: it is charged only if it completes.
Do I have to keep the page open while a clip renders?
No. A clip renders as a job: you can leave the page and come back, and the result is saved to your files.
